Sustainability
We make today’s and tomorrow’s decisions taking into account economic and social aspects as well as the environment. Responsibility is an integral part of our daily operations and guides the choices we make.

We create well-being by providing electricity, district heating, and water supply services in a high-quality, reliable, and cost-efficient manner. A significant part of maintaining security of supply and maintenance reliability is the upkeep and development of district heating, water supply, and electricity distribution networks.
We are a city-owned group. The benefits we generate remain for the benefit of the city’s residents and the development of the city.

We employ local companies and people both directly and indirectly. Around 120 people work in our group. Indirectly, we provide employment on a much broader scale, and we strive to utilize local expertise whenever possible. We also employ young professionals, for example through summer jobs and internships.
We invest in future solutions, reduce the fossil carbon dioxide emissions from our production, and monitor the environmental impact of our operations. Preparing for extreme weather events and modernizing production are key elements in adapting to and mitigating climate change.

We take care of our employees’ occupational safety and well-being. Employee job satisfaction is regularly measured through staff surveys. All accidents, hazardous situations, and safety observations are reviewed by the Group’s occupational safety committee.
We support local associations and organizations annually through sponsorship cooperation.
